The modified proposal from architect Stan Hernly (click link above) involves making our current worship space slightly larger and adding classroom space. With this plan, there is still room on the property to add a sanctuary. (You can see Hernly’s original proposal here.)
Estimated Costs:
$180,000 for new addition (does not include parking)
$30,000 for updates to existing worship space (does not include roof)
$30,000 to pay off existing loan
Total: $240,000
Proposed Funding:
$20,000 from accounts
$80,000 from capital campaign ($40,000 already tentatively pledged)
$140,000 loan
New Mortgage: $924/month
Of course, the more we raise in a capital campaign, the lower the monthly mortgage payments:
