About the Role
PMC seeks a pastor (50–75% FTE) to serve as our primary spiritual leader—guiding worship, nurturing relationships, and helping our congregation live out its faith in meaningful and practical ways within both church and community.
This role is especially well suited for someone who:

Key Areas of Ministry
Worship & Spiritual Leadership
- Plan and lead meaningful and engaging worship services
- Collaborate with others to shape worship and nurture a thoughtful, active faith
- Preach and teach in ways that connect faith with everyday life
Pastoral Care & Congregational Life
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual support
- Encourage spiritual growth among participants
- Foster a caring and connected congregational community
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with lay leaders, committees, and ministry teams
- Encourage participation and leadership development across the congregation
- Support healthy communication and collaborative decision-making
Outreach & Community Engagement
- Cultivate relationships within the local community, with ministerial groups, and with other congregations
- Participate in conference and denominational life
- Help PMC embody its commitments to peace, justice, service, and hospitality
Administration & Communication
- Maintain a consistent and accessible pastoral presence
- Oversee congregational communications, including newsletters and bulletins
- Collaborate on budgeting and operational planning
- Oversee Administrative Assistant
Qualifications
- Master of Divinity preferred, or equivalent theological training
- Commitment to Anabaptist theology and peacemaking
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing learning and spiritual growth
- Ordination, or willingness to pursue credentials, within an MC USA–affiliated conference
Accountability & Ethics
The pastor is accountable to the Coordinating Committee, with support from the Ministry Team, and is expected to uphold the ethical standards of Mennonite Church USA.
