Prelude: When the Saints Go Marching In from the Howard Gospel Choir

Welcome from Ken Lohrentz:

Opening Scripture:

Call to Worship:

Like Elijah, we rely on God for nourishment.
Like the widow, we trust in God to sustain us.
Like the unnamed son, we are held in love by the people of God.
Like so many throughout scripture and through the ages,
We come to God in our hunger, in our despair, in our pain,
            Seeking provision, hope, and healing.
As we come to God in worship
We know God is already with us.

Gathering Hymn: For all the saints
Hymnal Worship Book, #636 verses 1, 4, 6, 7, 8
(Those who prefer to sing all the verses with organ and choir can go to this link.)

There are still a few slots available to walk the Peace Mennonite labyrinth on November 1. You can sign up here.

Congregational Prayer:
You are invited to offer your prayers to God. For what are you thankful this morning? What would you ask of God for yourself? Who do you know who needs God’s loving presence right now? What are your prayers for our community, our country, and our world?

Feel free to share your prayers with people around you, in the comments below, or on our Zoom call at 11 Sunday morning.

This week you are invited to pray for Iglesia Menonita Monte Horeb in Dallas, Tx.
